On Monday, July 7, the Madrid baseball team faced Southeast Warren in a Class 1A, Substate 6 game and fell 8-0.
Emerson Bridgewater struck out eight batters, and Preston Wicker added two more strikeouts in relief.
At the plate, Kolbie Owens and Mason Morman each notched a hit, with Morman also swiping a base.
The Tigers brought their season to a close with a 6-17 record.
Looking back at the 2025 season, Bridgewater led the offense with 22 hits and anchored the pitching staff with a 3.50 ERA and 30 strikeouts.
Kole Deppe followed closely with 20 hits and a 3.59 ERA, earning two wins on the mound.
Wicker added 19 hits, while Owens led the team with 15 RBIs, and McCoy Cooley and Bridgewater each drove in 12.
Conner Pettiecord collected three wins.
