Michael Miller – KWBG Radio

BOONE, Iowa—Michael L. Miller, 73, passed away quietly on Saturday, July 19, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Mike was born in Boone, Iowa, to Virgil Miller and CeLesta (Davis) Miller. He attended school in Ogden, Iowa, then Linden, graduating high school at Panora-Linden, where he played baseball and football.

Mike began his work career with Oscar Mayer, in Perry, Iowa. He then returned to school, advancing his career with Todd’s LTD (Des Moines), Roberts Dairy (Omaha) and Mrs. Clarks Foods (Ankeny) in Purchasing Management positions. Mike enjoyed being with his family and friends, and doting on his nieces and nephews. His great joys were outdoors, fishing, biking, motorcycling, and golfing. He was also a car buff, and especially proud of his ’55 Corvette.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sister, Christine; and niece, Celeste.

Mike is survived by his sister, Pamela (Lynn) Davis; brothers, Dwight Miller and Mark (Paula O’Hare) Miller; sisters, Angela (Richard) Tuthill and Kelli (Travis) Mckean; five nieces; two nephews; and a great-niece.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, 1006 6th Street, Boone, followed by a graveside inurnment service at 11:30 A.M. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 1718 L Ave, Boone, with Rev. Brian Bopp officiating.
