BOONE, Iowa—Linda Kay Anderson, 80, of Boone, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Westhaven Community.
Linda was born on May 7, 1945, in Boone, the daughter of Kenneth and Virginia (Ford) Coghlan.
Linda graduated from Boone High School in 1963. In November 1963, she married Micheal Stokka, and they owned and operated Stokka Studio in Boone. Linda then attended Des Moines Area Community College in Boone, where she graduated with an AA degree in accounting. While in school, Linda worked part-time at Boyd’s Dairy. She then was a service writer for Van Wall Equipment in Perry from 1988 until her retirement in May 2013. Linda was united in marriage to Stanley Anderson in March 2008.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley Anderson in 2015; and an infant sister.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Sheri (Troy) Nordholm of Boone, Julie (Denny) Clayton of Van Meter and Michelle (Roger) Reiff of Boone; seven grandchildren, Hunter (Shaw) Sobolik, Conner (Autumn) Nordholm, Tyler (Sammy) Reetz, Kelsey (Jake) Stearns, Kailey Lindahl, Mekenzie (Brian) Anderson, and Parker Reiff; seven great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jack, Charlie, Ayden, Avery, Jayce, and Elena; and one sister, Barb Slagle of Villa Park, Illinois.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Westhaven Community Chapel, 112 West 4th Street, Boone. Please join the family for a light luncheon and fellowship during this time.
