Boone volleyball hosted North Polk in a Raccoon River Conference showdown Tuesday, September 2, at Boone High School, falling in straight sets, 3-0.
Claire Hardinger and Madilyn Barrett each recorded 4 kills, while Delaney Good and Halle Johnson added 3 kills apiece.
Setter Jenna Johnson led the Boone offense with 15 assists.
On defense, Baylee Bunning led the back row with 8 digs, and Karsyn Smith added 6 digs.
Boone was sharp from the service line, finishing with a 90% team serving rate.
Delaney Good was perfect, going 10-for-10, while Hardinger and Bunning were also flawless at 7-for-7 and 5-for-5, respectively.
Jenna Johnson added 3 service aces to round out the effort.
Boone now sits at 0-2 on the season, while North Polk improves to 4-6.
The Toreadors will look to bounce back on Thursday, September 4, as they travel to State Center for the West Marshall Tournament, where they’ll face South Tama, Prairie City-Monroe, and West Marshall.
