The Boone girls’ swimming and diving team delivered a great performance at home, scoring 427 points to take first place over Grinnell (400), Oskaloosa (292), and Vinton-Shellsburg-Union (123) Tuesday, September 2.
Claire Enabnit led the way with wins in the 200 Yard IM (2:35.24) and 100 Yard Butterfly (1:11.14).
Avery Howie sprinted to victory in the 50 Yard Freestyle (26.06) and won the 100 Yard Backstroke (1:04.52).
Morgan Cox claimed the 500 Yard Freestyle title with a time of 6:16.45.
The 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Finley Houser, Claire Enabnit, Makenzie Klatt and Howie had a first-place finish in 4:10.51.
Lucy Enabnit finished second in the 500 Free (6:17.62).
Makenzie Klatt earned second in the 100 Backstroke (1:09.30).
The 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Klatt, Harper Houston, Houser, and Quinn Houston placed third with a time of 2:13.20.
The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Sara Gute, Howie, Quinn Houston, and Claire Enabnit finished third in 1:52.48.
Cox took third in the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:23.20) while Harper Houston placed third in the 200 Yard IM (2:44.91).
Hailey Olson placed fourth in 1-meter diving with a score of 156.35, while Amaya Filipiak followed in fifth with 134.30.

Boone now leads the North Central Swimming standings at 3-0 and will look to continue its strong start at the Riverhawk Girls Swimming Invitational in Mason City on Saturday, September 6.
