BOONE, Iowa—Camryn Stonehocker, 18, of Boone, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025.
Camryn was born August 29, 2007, in Des Moines, the son of Jeffrey and Megan (Mann) Stonehocker. He was born prematurely and spent the first four months of his life at Blank Children’s Hospital. Camryn was adopted by his maternal grandparents, Rachelle (Nick) Hansen.
Camryn was currently a senior at Boone High School. To say he loved fishing and camping would be an understatement, he also enjoyed bike riding, listening to music, sunsets and being in the outdoors. If he couldn’t be found hanging out with his friends or driving his truck, he was playing an assortment of video games. Camryn never met a stranger and could make friends with anyone.
He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Megan Mann and great-grandfather, LeRoy Newburg.
Camryn is survived by his parents, Rachelle (Nick) Hansen; sister, Alyson Hansen; brother, Cadyn Smiley; three step-sisters; two step-brothers; great-grandmother, Lorna Thomas; biological father, Jeffrey Stonehocker; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A visitation, with the body present, will be Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, 1006 6th Street, Boone. Following the visitation, cremation will take place.
