The Boone Toreadors volleyball team hit the road Tuesday, September 9, for a Raccoon River Conference showdown against Ballard, but couldn’t overcome the Bombers’ momentum, falling in straight sets, 3-0.
Jenna Johnson led the offense with 10 assists and added 7 digs on defense.
She also contributed 1 service ace, going 9-for-10 from the service line.
Halle Johnson paced the attack with 4 kills, while Madilyn Barrett added 3 kills.
On the defensive end, Baylee Bunning anchored the back row with 11 digs.
Boone also saw solid serving performances from Taylor Arringdale, Delaney Good, and Jenna Johnson — each recording 1 ace.
Arringdale matched Johnson’s efficiency, going 9-for-10 from the line.
With the loss, Boone drops to 1-5 on the season, while Ballard improves to 5-4.
Boone returns home tonight to face Gilbert (7-6) in another Raccoon River Conference matchup at Boone High School.
