The Ogden Bulldogs gave their home crowd plenty to cheer about Friday, September 26, delivering a dominant 21-0 shutout over West Central Valley in a district matchup at Ogden High School during Homecoming.
Ogden struck early, scoring on its opening drive when Cayden Dudley powered into the end zone from 3 yards out with 9:47 left in the first quarter.
Dudley continued his stellar night with two more touchdown runs—a 2-yard score in the second quarter and a 12-yard dash in the third—accounting for all of Ogden’s points.
The Bulldogs scored 7 points in each of the first three quarters.
Dudley was unstoppable on the ground, carrying the ball 32 times for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Quarterback CeJay Jones added 22 rushing yards on 9 carries, while Jackson Klith chipped in with 6 yards on 4 attempts.
Jones also completed a pass to Brayden Miller for a 1-yard gain.
Ogden’s defense was equally impressive, led by Carson Muggenberg, who recorded 9 tackles, including 4 for loss and 1 sack.
Ryder Eklund added 5.5 tackles, with 5 solo stops and a half tackle for loss, while Landon Alexander contributed 5 tackles, 3.5 for loss, and 1 sack.
With the win, Ogden improves to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in district play, while West Central Valley drops to 2-3 overall and also 1-1 in the district.
Next up, Ogden travels to face No. 7 Pleasantville (4-1 overall, 1-1 district) Friday, October 3, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. at Pleasantville High School.
