The Boone girls’ cross country squad captured first place with 49 points at the Ogden Invitational Monday, September 29, at Don Williams Golf Course.
The Toreadors were led by Briella Johnson, who placed 6th with a time of 20:14.87.
Boone packed the top 10 with three more runners: Reagan Morgan (8th, 20:39.29), Emma Thomas (9th, 20:39.77), and Whitney Chesnut (10th, 20:41.65).
Morgan Chesnut added a 16th-place finish in 22:45.90.
Elin Selby (29th, 24:05.24) and Bryana Morgan (31st, 24:24.05) also contributed solid efforts.
Boone’s depth and consistency across the lineup helped secure the team title in a meet that featured four ranked programs.
The Boone boys placed 6th overall with 163 points.
Riverside of Oakland finished first with 25 points.
Dorian Myers led the team with an 11th-place finish in 17:54.18.
Owen Hill (31st, 20:16.21) and Kam Lehman (33rd, 20:20.52) were next across the line.
Calvin Cook (39th, 20:55.09) and Wyatt Johnson (49th, 21:49.52) rounded out Boone’s top five.
Samuel Chesnut (53rd, 22:13.09) and Pearson Lampe (61st, 23:26.62) also scored points.

Both teams will look to build on their performances when they travel to the North Polk Cross Country Invite on Monday, October 6.
