Ogden football struggled to find momentum Friday, October 3, in a tough district road matchup, falling 45-7 to Pleasantville at Pleasantville High School.

Ogden football struggled to find momentum Friday, October 3, in a tough district road matchup, falling 45-7 to Pleasantville at Pleasantville High School. 

The Trojans came out firing, scoring 28 points in the first quarter and adding another touchdown in the second to take a commanding 35-0 lead at halftime.  

Pleasantville added seven more points in the third quarter and capped their scoring with a field goal in the fourth. 

Ogden’s lone touchdown came late in the fourth quarter when Carson Lloyd connected with Weston Sundell on a 75-yard touchdown pass, marking the Bulldogs’ only score of the night. 

Lloyd finished 2-for-2 passing for 82 yards and a touchdown, while CeJay Jones went 6-for-13 for 37 yards.  

On the ground, Cayden Dudley led the rushing attack with 59 yards on 13 carries, followed by Ryder Eklund (7 carries, 10 yards) and Jackson Klith (3 carries, 20 yards). 

In the receiving game, Brayden Miller had 4 catches for 34 yards. 

Defensively, Landon Alexander had a standout performance with 8.5 tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 tackles for loss.  

Carson Muggenberg added 5 tackles and 2 sacks, while Dillon Moe and Eklund each contributed 6 tackles. 

Pleasantville improved to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in district play, while Ogden dropped to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the district. 

Ogden returns home on Friday, October 10 to host Panorama (1-5 overall, 0-3 district) for Senior Night and Youth Cheer Night.  

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Ogden High School.
