The Boone girls swimming and diving team made senior night one to remember Tuesday, October 7, earning a 109-73 win over Carroll in front of a home crowd at the Boone High School pool.
The Toreadors opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, as Avery Howie, Harper Houston, Finley Houser, and Quinn Houston combined for a time of 2:05.69.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Morgan Cox, Houser, Mackenzie Klatt, and Ashlyn Burkhart placed second in 1:55.90.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Klatt, Sara Gute, Savannah Witte, and Rachel Ungs closed the meet with a first-place finish in 4:21.55.
In individual events, Sara Gute and Harper Houston went 2-3 in the 200-yard freestyle, while Houser and Quinn Houston repeated that finish in the 200-yard individual medley.
Klatt and Tessa Gute placed second and third respectively in the 50-yard freestyle.
In the 100-yard butterfly, Cox placed third and Burkhart finished fourth.
Howie claimed first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.54, and Witte added a third-place finish.
Claire Enabnit led the distance swimmers with a win in the 500-yard freestyle (6:05.17), followed closely by Houser in second.
In the backstroke, Howie earned her second individual win of the night in the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.60), with Witte finishing fourth.
Enabnit and Lily Wright placed third and fourth respectively in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Boone dominated the 1-meter diving, sweeping the top three spots.
Amaya Filipiak took first with a score of 165.10, followed by Chloey Williams (146.40) and Hailey Olson (136.95).
Boone will return to competition on Saturday, October 11, at Summit Middle School in Johnston.
