
The Ogden girls’ basketball team opened its season Monday, November 24, on the road at the Grand View Christian Activities Center, where the Bulldogs fell 71-26 in non-conference play.
The Bulldogs found some success from beyond the arc, with Dakota Jones leading the way with nine points on three three-pointers.
Lauren Mathews added eight points, going a perfect 2-for-2 on three-pointers, and also pulled down six rebounds.
Grace Christensen chipped in five points, including a free throw.
On the glass, Ogden showed effort with Matthews grabbing six boards, Jones adding five, and Paysen Graden contributing four.
Matthews, Christensen and Sawyer Curry each recorded an assist.
With the loss, Ogden starts the season 0-1 while Grand View Christian improves to 1-0.
The Bulldogs will look to bounce back Monday, December 1, when they host Greene County in a girl-boy doubleheader at Ogden High School.
The girls tip off at 6:15 p.m., followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m.
