
The Boone boys’ swim team had a relay place first and also won an individual event as it opened its 2025-26 season Tuesday, November 25, at the Ankeny Sprint Invite at Ankeny High School.
The Toreadors finished sixth overall with 208 points.
Boone won the 200-yard freestyle relay, where the team of Carson Mueggenberg, Isaac Clark, Simon Enabnit and Brady Hyman captured first place in 1:29.09.
The same quartet also earned a third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:21.00.
Individually, Clark shined with a first-place finish in the 25-yard freestyle (9.75) and a second-place finish in the 50-yard butterfly (23.38).
Mueggenberg added a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (22.70) and was seventh in the 25 free (10.63).
Hyman and Enabnit both posted top-20 times in the 100-yard freestyle (115th in 52.81 and 17th in 53.22).
In addition, Cooper Jensen placed 8th in the 50 backstroke (27.50) and 14th in the 100 IM (1:02.04).
Calvin Cook finished 12th in the 50 breaststroke (31.24) and 17th in the 100 IM (1:02.47).
Marcus Cook ended 21st in the 50 free (25.55) and 21st in the 50 fly (29.05).
Oscar Miller placed 19th in the 100 free (55.56).
Boone’s 200-yard medley relay team of Jensen, Calvin Cook, Marcus Cook and Miller finished 11th in 1:50.53.

The Toreadors will return to the pool on Saturday, December 6, hosting the 64th Annual Boone Swimming Invitational.
