Ogden girls have tough stretch at home

The Ogden Bulldogs girls’ basketball team hosted Perry Thursday, December 4, and fell 38-27, before losing to West Central Valley, 38-16, the next day.

The Ogden Bulldogs girls’ basketball team hosted Perry in a non-conference matchup Thursday, December 4, and fell 38-27.  

Grace Christensen led Ogden with nine points, including a three-pointer and two free throws.  

She also grabbed five rebounds and recorded 10 steals.  

Anna Wilson added six points, while Lauren Mathews scored five points and contributed six rebounds, six steals and a block.  

Sawyer Curry chipped in four points and was active defensively with three rebounds, two steals and three blocks.  

Curry and Dakota Jones each had two assists. 

West Central Valley 38, Ogden 16 
Ogden then lost to West Central Valley, 38-16, in their West Central Conference home opener Friday, December 5, at Ogden High School.  

Christensen again led the way with seven points, including a three-pointer, while Mathews added three points and a block.  

Curry and Sidney Crane scored two points each.  

Jones controlled the boards with six rebounds, while Mathews and Clara Kruse added three rebounds apiece.  

Alena Wilson contributed two steals, and Curry, Christensen, and Jones each had an assist. 

Ogden sits at 0-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play. 

The Bulldogs next travel to Interstate 35 (2-2) for a conference matchup on Tuesday, December 9.
