
On Tuesday, December 9, the Boone boys’ basketball team struggled against Ballard and lost, 91-27, in a Raccoon River Conference game at the Boone High School Gym.
Ballard came out firing, racing to a 27-9 lead after the first quarter, and extending the margin to 56-13 at halftime.
The Bombers continued to dominate in the second half, outscoring Boone 19-6 in the third quarter and 16-8 in the fourth quarter.
Ryan Bowers led Boone with 11 points, and Landon Myers added 8 points.
Hendrix Moorman knocked down a three-pointer, while Dayne Brekke and Brandon Holm chipped in 2 points each.
Abel Tungesvik rounded out the scoring with 1 point.
Boone (2-1 overall, 0-1 conference) will look to bounce back as it hits the road Thursday, December 11, to take on Perry (1-3) in a non-conference game.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM at Perry High School Gym.
