The Boone Toreadors girls’ basketball team traveled to Carroll on Tuesday, December 16, for a Raccoon River Conference matchup and came up short, falling 50–27 at Carroll High School Gym.
Macy Chesnut led Boone with 13 points, going 9-of-13 from the free-throw line and adding 4 rebounds (3 offensive) and 2 steals.
Whitney Chesnut contributed 3 points, a team-high 6 rebounds (5 offensive), and a steal.
Harper Houston chipped in 3 points, hitting Boone’s lone three-pointer of the night.
On the glass, Maleah Shivers added 5 rebounds, while the Chesnut sisters combined for 10 boards.
The loss drops Boone to 1–5 overall and 0–3 in conference play, while Carroll improves to 3–3 overall and 1–2 in the RRC.
Boone looks to bounce back tonight when they travel to Bondurant-Farrar (2–4 overall, 1–2 RRC) for another conference matchup.
Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. at Bondurant-Farrar High School.
