The Ogden Bulldogs girls’ wrestling team delivered an outstanding performance Thursday, December 18, at Winterset, winning all four duals in a busy night of competition.
Ogden defeated Ballard (48-30), Central Decatur (48-23), Martensdale-St. Marys (51-18), and host Winterset (48-29).
Ogden 48, Ballard 30
Ogden opened the night with a strong win over Ballard, earning six falls and several forfeits.
Carlie Hinderaker (115) pinned her opponent in 3:33.
Jozlyn Wells (130) scored a quick fall in 1:16, while Alauna Wells (135) added another pin at 5:15.
Ruby Tasler (235) closed the dual with a pin in 42 seconds.
Ogden 48, Central Decatur 23
The Bulldogs continued their momentum with big wins in the middle weights.
Trinity Stoneburner (110) earned a fall in 42 seconds.
Sophie Seligman (125) and Jozlyn Wells (130) both recorded pins, with Wells adding a second fall later in the dual.
Alauna Wells (135) dominated with a 49-second pin, and Makayla Alexander (170) added another fall in 1:54.
Ogden 51, Martensdale-St. Marys 18
Ogden rolled to its third win of the night and defeated Martensdale-St. Marys
Trinity Stoneburner (110) won by decision 6-0.
Carlie Hinderaker (115) earned a pin in 1:03.
Makayla Alexander (170) had a fall in 3:43.
Ogden 48, Winterset 29
The Bulldogs capped the night with a 48-29 victory over the host Huskies.
Trinity Stoneburner (110) and Carlie Hinderaker (115) scored back-to-back pins in just over a minute.
Jozlyn Wells (130) added another fall in 58 seconds, and Kinley Hare (145) followed with a pin at 1:57.
Makayla Alexander (170) delivered a 13-second pin, and Grace Hammer (190) added a fall in 1:00.
