
The Ogden Bulldogs boys’ wrestling team dropped their opening matchup to host Earlham before bouncing back with a win over Southeast Valley Thursday, January 8, at the Earlham quad.
Earlham 57, Ogden 19
Earlham jumped ahead early with a string of forfeits and falls.
Ogden trailed 24–0 before Ryder Eklund got the Bulldogs on the board with an 8–1 decision at 132.
Then Kinnick Munson had a fall in just 1:20 at 138, which also cut into Earlham’s lead.
But Earlham responded with pins and a tech fall to regain full control.
Later in the dual, Landon Alexander earned a 12–3 major decision at 165; however, Earlham’s early run held up in a 57–19 victory.
Ogden 47, Southeast Valley 29
In the second dual of the night, Ogden won nine of the first ten contested matches against Southeast Valley .
After falling behind due to an opening forfeit, the Bulldogs unleashed a wave of victories.
Eklund needed just 13 seconds to pin his opponent at 132.
Munson followed with a 30‑second fall at 138.
Isaac Dominick added a 2:00 pin at 144, giving Ogden its first lead.
Dillon Moe pinned his opponent in 51 seconds at 150.
Lucas Pelleymounter continued with a fall at 4:00 in the 157‑pound bout.
At 165, Alexander dominated for a 16–1 technical fall.
Jakob Crosman pinned his opponent in 1:07 at 175.
Southeast Valley finished with pins at 215 and 285, but Ogden’s start secured a 47–29 dual victory.
