Ogden Police Department Report

OGDEN, Iowa—Ogden Police Department has released their summary of incidents handled over the period noted. Further information is available by clicking on the post summary below.

Public Safety Threats

  • Jan. 13, 7:49AM — Officer received a report of a check that had been unlawfully modified or counterfeited. Investigation ongoing.
  • Jan. 13, 5:52PM — Officer responded to a harassment complaint in the 600 block of E Oak St. The reporting party declined charges but requested the matter be addressed.
  • Jan. 14, 10:38PM — Officer and deputies assisted a transportation agency after a passenger became unruly and combative. No charges were filed, and the situation was resolved on scene.
  • Jan. 16, 7:31PM — Officer responded to a fire alarm in the 500 block of N 1st St. No criminal activity reported.
  • Jan. 18, 1:00PM — Deputies assisted a juvenile in the 300 block of N 1st St. experiencing a mental health crisis. The child was transported to Boone County Hospital for evaluation due to safety concerns.

Other Criminal Offenses

  • Jan. 13, 9:52AM — Officer met with a student and parent at Ogden High School regarding concerns about a possible criminal matter.

Non‑Criminal Assistance

  • Jan. 15, 2:35PM — Officer assisted with a medical call in the 100 block of SW 3rd St.
  • Jan. 15, 6:56PM — Officer provided a vehicle unlock in the 200 block of SE 2nd St.
  • Jan. 18, 3:25PM — Deputy located a loose dog near W Maple St and NW 2nd St. The dog was returned to its owner.

Nature of Incidents Reported

Activity for the week included reports of suspected financial fraud, harassment, a fire alarm response, and a juvenile mental health crisis requiring hospital transport. Officers also handled several non‑criminal assistance calls. No arrests or major criminal charges were reported during this period.
