Ogden boys battle through three duals

The Ogden Bulldogs boys’ wrestling team picked up several pins across all weight classes but ultimately dropped three duals Thursday, January 15, at West Central Valley.

The Ogden Bulldogs boys’ wrestling team picked up several pins across all weight classes but ultimately dropped three duals Thursday, January 15, at West Central Valley. 

Ogden lost to Interstate 35, West Central Valley and Pleasantville.  

Dual 1: Interstate 35 52, Ogden 24 

Ogden opened the night against Interstate 35 but lost, 52-24. 

Riley Saunders put the Bulldogs on the board with a fall in 59 seconds at 120. 

At 132, Ryder Eklund added another win, securing a 1:09 pin. 

Landon Alexander earned a pin in 1:03 at 165, and Cash Williams delivered a 55‑second fall at 215. 

Dual 2: West Central Valley 42, Ogden 37 

The Bulldogs battled to the wire in their closest dual of the night but lost to West Central Valley, 42-37. 

At 132, Eklund scored a 15–3 major decision. 

Kinnick Munson followed with a 2:43 pin at 138, and Isaac Dominick delivered a 52‑second fall at 144. 

Dillon Moe contributed at 150 with a 12–7 decision win. 

Dual 3: Pleasantville 36, Ogden 30 

Ogden finished the night with another competitive dual but fell to Pleasantville, 36-30. 

Eklund stayed perfect on the night, earning a 1:29 fall. 

Munson followed with a 13‑second pin. 

Alexander secured a fall in 3:03 at 165, and Jakob Crosman added a 2:00 pin at 175.

The Bulldogs head to Panorama tomorrow for the West Central Activities Conference wrestling meet beginning at 9 a.m.
