
The Ogden girls’ basketball team picked up a non‑conference road victory defeating Colo‑Nesco, 38-31, Monday, January 26, in Colo.
The Bulldogs started quickly, jumping out to a 10–4 lead after the first quarter, then carried a 15–9 advantage at halftime.
Ogden stretched the margin to 25–14 after three quarters and held off a late Colo‑Nesco push in the fourth quarter.
Grace Christensen led Ogden with 12 points and finished 8‑for‑14 at the free throw line.
Dakota Jones added 8 points, hitting a three‑pointer and going 5‑of‑6 from the free‑throw line.
Jones also had two assists.
Layla Wells contributed 7 points, knocking down a three.
Lauren Mathews grabbed a game‑high 13 rebounds, including one offensive, while collecting four steals and dishing out two assists.
Alena Wilson added six rebounds and two steals, and Sawyer Curry pulled down five rebounds, including three offensive boards, while adding three steals.
With the victory, the Bulldogs improved to 2–16 overall, while Colo‑Nesco dropped to 6–9.
Ogden returns home Friday, January 30, to host Des Moines Christian in a West Central Conference matchup.
