
The Boone Toreadors boys’ and girls’ basketball teams battled Friday, January 30, at home but came up short against Bondurant‑Farrar.
The boys lost, 59-49, and the girls lost, 45-17.
For the boys, Landon Myers led the Toreadors, scoring 15 points on 7 of 16 shooting while pulling down a game‑high 11 rebounds, including two on the offensive glass.
Myers also added four assists and a block.
Cole Christeson hit 4 of 5 from the field and knocked down two three‑pointers on his way to 10 points.
He also contributed four assists, two rebounds and a steal.
Jude Baumgardner added 7 points, five rebounds and four assists.
With the loss, the Toreadors fall to 3–12 overall and 0–11 in the Raccoon River Conference, while the Bluejays improve to 4–10 overall and 3–9 in conference play.
Boone 45, Bondurant-Farrar 17
The Boone girls faced a challenge Friday as Bondurant‑Farrar controlled the matchup from start to finish, defeating the Toreadors 45–17 in conference action.
Boone’s offensive highlights came from beyond the arc, with Macy Chesnut leading the way by knocking down two three‑pointers for a team‑high six points.
Whitney Chesnut added four points, including a three‑pointer and a free throw, while Bry Morgan chipped in three points on another three-pointer.
Brooke Weisbrod contributed two points and a free throw, and Kyra Darby rounded out the scoring with one point at the line.
Boone now sits at 4–12 overall and 1–10 in the conference, while Bondurant‑Farrar moves to 8–9 overall and 5–7 in Raccoon River play.
The Boone boys and girls return to action tonight at home against Gilbert in a rescheduled matchup from January 23.
The girls tip at 6 with the boys to follow at 7:30 p.m.
