Sheriff’s Department Seeks Public Assistance on Theft Case

BOONE, Iowa—This week, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department received a theft complaint for the 2200 area of 229th Place near Ames. This time, the investigation resulted in a photo of a suspicious vehicle. The Sheriff’s Department posted the following on their Facebook page:

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in identifying this vehicle and or the driver. This vehicle has been seen in the area of the 2200 block of 229th Pl. around the time of a couple of recently reported thefts. The thefts have occurred in the overnight hours in which items have been taken from mailboxes.
