
The No. 10‑ranked Madrid Tigers dominated Interstate 35 from in a 78–32 West Central Activities Conference victory at home on Friday, February 6.
Madrid exploded out of the gate with a 24–8 first‑quarter lead.
By halftime, the Tigers had stretched the margin to 38–18, and they continued to pour it on in the second half, leading 59–26 after three quarters before cruising to their 16th win of the season.
Jevyn Severson led all scorers with 23 points, shooting 11-of-20 from the field and adding 1-of-2 at the free‑throw line.
Severson also dominated the boards with 16 rebounds, including 6 offensive, while adding 2 steals.
Logan Bogardus scored 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting, knocking down 4-of-8 from three‑point range.
Bogardus also contributed 5 assists.
Emerson Bridgewater added 15 points on a 7-of-10 shooting night, including a three‑pointer, and pulled down 6 rebounds.
Max Fowler chipped in 10 points and ripped down 11 rebounds, including 3 on the offensive end, and 3 blocks.
Kolbie Owens contributed 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block, with 5 assists against just 1 turnover.
Bridgewater also recorded 5 assists without a turnover, and Severson matched the team leaders with 5 assists.
The victory moves Madrid to 16–4 overall and 11–3 in the West Central Activities Conference.
Madrid will close out the regular season on Tuesday, February 10, traveling to Adair‑Casey/Guthrie Center.
AC/GC enters the matchup 9–10 overall and 7–7 in conference play.
