
The Madrid girls’ basketball team wrapped up its regular season on Tuesday, February 10, with a tough road matchup, falling, 65–30, to Adair‑Casey/Guthrie Center.
Mayzie Surratt led Madrid with 10 points on 3-of-7 shooting.
Surratt knocked down 2-of-6 from beyond the arc and finished a perfect 2-for-2 at the free‑throw line.
She also pulled down 4 rebounds, including an offensive board.
Samantha Springer added 8 points, hitting 3-of-10 from the field and 2-of-8 from deep.
Springer also grabbed 5 rebounds, including one offensive, and contributed 2 assists.
Audrey Brown added 3 points on a 1-of-3 performance from long range while also leading the team with 2 assists.
Madrid also received 3 points each from Jaelyn Fuson, Charis Peasley, and Rylee Borcherding, helping round out the scoring effort.
Alaina Dvorak pulled down 3 rebounds.
The loss drops Madrid to 10–11 overall and 4–11 in West Central Conference play.
ACGC improves to 17–4 overall and 13–2 in the conference.
The Tigers will travel to Lake View to take on East Sac County (9–12) on Saturday, February 14, at 7 p.m. in their Class 2A district opener.
