Ogden basketball wraps up regular season

The Ogden girls’ and boys’ basketball teams hosted Panorama and lost both games in the final West Central Conference doubleheader of the regular season Tuesday, February 10.

The Ogden girls’ and boys’ basketball teams hosted Panorama and lost both games in the final West Central Conference doubleheader of the regular season Tuesday, February 10. 

GIRLS GAME: Panorama 70, Ogden 39 

The Ogden girls closed their regular season with a 70–39 home loss to Panorama.  

Three players finished in double figures for the Bulldogs. 

Layla Wells scored 10 points while shooting 3-of-10 from the field, 2-of-5 from long range, and 2-of-2 at the free‑throw line.  

Wells also added 2 assists against only one turnover. 

Dakota Jones also scored 10 points on 4-of-19 shooting, including 2-of-12 from beyond the arc and added 3 assists. 

Joining them with 10 points was sophomore Grace Christensen, went 3-of-6 from the field and 3-of-5 from deep, while adding one free throw. 

Sidney Crane pulled down 8 rebounds, including 2 offensive rebounds. 

Lauren Mathews grabbed 6 rebounds and 2 steals. 

Anna Wilson had 5 rebounds, 2 offensive rebounds, and 1 steal. 

Ogden concludes the regular season 2–20 overall and 0–15 in the West Central Conference. 

The Bulldogs now turn toward postseason play, traveling to Holstein on Tuesday, February 17, to take on Ridge View in a Class 2A district matchup. 

The game will be broadcast live on KWBG FM 101.5, AM 1590, and kwbglive.com, with sports director Ryan Wendt on the call. 

BOYS GAME: Panorama 58, Ogden 53 

The Ogden boys closed the regular season falling to Panorama, 58–53. 

Brayden Miller led Ogden with 14 points, shooting 5-of-11 from the field and 4-of-5 at the free‑throw line. 

Jordan Benjamin backed him with 12 points, hitting 5-of-9 overall and 2-of-6 from three while also grabbing 5 rebounds. 

Nate Swisher added 8 points on 4-of-12 shooting and crashed the boards for 7 rebounds, including 3 offensive. 

Colson Carson led Ogden’s rebounding effort with 10 rebounds (3 offensive), 2 steals. 1 block and 2 assists with no turnovers. 

Keagan Ristvedt recorded 2 assists, while Jase Coleman and Carson each added 2 of their own.  

Ogden finishes the regular season 4–17 overall and 1–14 in conference play. 

The Bulldogs now shift to postseason action, traveling to Truro on Monday, February 16 to face Interstate 35 in a Class 2A district matchup.
