BOONE, Iowa—Twenty two students from Boone High School competed in the Sub-District Leadership Development Events (LDEs) held at Iowa Central Community College in Ft. Dodge. Students demonstrated communication and career skills competing against 10 area FFA Chapters. In order to advance to the district level, students had to place first or second in their respective competition. Results are as follows:

Conduct of Meetings – Silver Rating: Hadley Gustafson, Noah Hugeback, Jordan Rodriguez, Abby Oostenink, Royce Kilstrom, Phoebe Dighton & Riley Stolte
Ag Broadcasting – Gold Rating (Alternate to Districts): Matthew Fitzgerald
Public Speaking – 2nd Place Gold Advance to Districts: Ashlyn Lovig
Chapter Website – 1st Place Gold Advance to Districts: Isaac Sorenson
Creed Speaking – Bronze Rating: Rylee Dillinger
Parliamentary Procedure – 1st Place Gold Advance to Districts: Tommy Williams, Jennifer La Mar, Brody McNace, Abby Leu, & Tala Wittrock
Job Interview – 2nd Place Gold Advance to Districts: Levi Behn
Extemporaneous Speaking – Bronze Rating: Ethan Ward
Ag Sales – 1st Place Gold Advance to Districts: Henderson Gustafson
Students advancing to districts will compete against the top FFA Chapters from north central Iowa on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Algona High School.
The Boone A&M FFA Chapter is an organization for agricultural science students consisting of over 100 students at Boone High School.
