
The Ogden boys track and field team opened its season Monday, March 9, at the Dickenson Relays inside the UNI‑Dome at Cedar Falls.
Sprint events
Freshman Jackson Klith placed 26th overall in the 60‑meter dash with a time of 7.25.
Junior Jude Klith followed with a 7.48, while freshman Cooper Prouty added an 8.19.
Jackson Klith returned in the 200 meter-dash, running 23.92 and finishing 22nd.
Seniors Treyton Mitchell (25.50) and Carson Mueggenberg (25.68) also contributed in the 200.
In the 60‑meter hurdles, Mitchell clocked 9.43 placing 62nd , and sophomore Weston Sundell finished in 10.39.
Middle distance events
Sophomore Myles Tromblay ran a 5:04.71 in the 1600-meter run and finished 38th.
Junior Brayden Miller highlighted the 400-meter dash for Ogden, running 56.16 and placing 62nd.
Sophomore Brody Hitsman (1:00.98) and senior Christian Thede (1:02.93) also competed in the 400.
In the 800-meter run, senior Landon Abbott turned in a 2:17.56 and placed 64th, while junior Bek Anderson followed with a 2:27.89.
Field events
Senior Shane Sellers led the Bulldogs in the long jump with a mark of 17’9.75″ and placed 77th .
Jude Klith added a 17’3.5” jump, while sophomore Brody Hitsman posted 16’8”.
In the shot put, sophomore Nate Swisher recorded the team’s top throw at 35’9.25”and finished 139th, followed by junior Sylus Rude 33’1.75” and senior Caden Pearson at 27’5.25”.
Relay events
The Bulldogs closed the meet with a 3:45.96 in the 4×400 relay (Miller, Tromblay, Abbott, and Klith) which was good for 21st place.
The 4×200 squad of Klith, Mueggenberg, Hamil, and Miller ran 1:43.04, and finished 50th.
The Dickenson Relays continue today with the Boone, Ogden and Madrid girls scheduled to compete.
