The Boone girls track and field team competed Thursday, March 12, at the ISU Indoor Meet at the Leid Recreation Center in Ames.
Boone was led in the field events by Jen La Mar, who had a 4th‑place finish in the shot put, throwing 37‑06.00.
Teammate Maleah Shivers followed with a strong mark of 35‑06.50, placing 7th
Reagan Morgan crossed in 2:31.62 for 17th in the 800 meters while Whitney Chesnut clocked 2:32.44 finishing 18th.
Chesnut returned later for the 3000‑meter run, posting an 11:56.32 to take 14th place.
The sprint medley relay — featuring Abigail Leu, Halle Bailey, Mady Davidson and Avah Hayes — finished in 2:05.43, placing 15th.
The 4×400-meter relay of Bry Morgan, Davidson, Darby and Hayes finished in 4:28.99 and in 21st place.
The 4×100-meter relay of Taylor Arringdale, Leu, Hayes and Bailey finished in 55.58 for 23rd.
The girls next compete Saturday March 21, at the Central College Girls Indoor Meet at the H.S. Kuyper Fieldhouse in Pella.
