03/15/26
Officer responded to Caseys for a report of a man sitting in his car at the pumps for an extended period. Upon arrival the subject was gone. Officer checked with Caseys staff who advised they didn’t know why someone called him in, he was fine and just left.
Officer responded to Maverick Lane to take a report of an assault that occurred the previous night at the Flat Tire Bar.
Officer returned the keys being held for safekeeping to the owner.
Officer returned a phone call to the victim of theft from the night before. Officer provided answers to questions and advised that he will call back if he learns more.
Officer was asked to assist with an accident at Highway 17 and Zook Spur. A truck with a trailer had jackknifed with the trailer stopping across the entire travel portion of Highway 17. Traffic was stopped until a tow service arrived and got the truck out of the ditch.
Officer assisted the county picking up two juveniles who had wrecked at Rose Road and 304th Street. Officer brought the juveniles to Caseys in Madrid until parents could pick them up coming from Waukee Iowa.

Officer responded to the 800 block of East North Street, to assist Madrid EMS/Boone County EMS with a medical call.

Officer returned a phone call to a resident in regards to an incident that happened over the prior weekend.

Officer was dispatched to Main and 2nd Street intersection for a parking issue of a vehicle blocking the sidewalk. Officer located the vehicle that was just being moved.
Officer spoke to a Madrid resident about his vehicle being tagged for a downtown parking violation. Officer gave him options for parking since he has several vehicles and planning on getting more.
Officer spoke to a Madrid resident in reference to putting his house on a house watch while he was on vacation. The subject came in and filled out the form and officers will give it extra patrol while he is away.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of Maverick Lane. A Madrid resident found drug paraphernalia outside the residence. Officer took the item back to the Police Department for destruction.

Officer forwarded video evidence on a past arrest, to the Boone County Attorney’s Office after receiving a request.
Officer served a trespass notice to (3) Madrid residents in the 600 block of Brodie Lane. Residents were advised not to return to the Flat Tire Lounge. All parties were given signed copies of the written trespass notice.
Officer met with a Madrid resident to discuss a previous incident. Officer discussed options with the Madrid resident regarding the case.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 Block of South Water Street, for a resident of an apartment wanted to report a smell of illegal drugs being used in the next apartment from theirs. Officer investigated the area and could not smell anything except laundry detergent. Tenant was advised to also notify landlord regarding this matter.

Officer stopped a semi with trailer for speeding in the 500 block of North Kennedy Avenue. Officer cited the Florida driver with excessive speed.
Officer responded to the 300 block of West Seventh Street, and assisted a person who had fallen.

Officer responded to the 600 block of Washington on a report of a medical emergency. On arrival an investigation was initiated on a possible assault. Due to the need for medical attention the investigation is ongoing.
Officer assisted with a medical call on Newton Road. Officer stayed with the patient until Madrid Fire/Rescue and Boone County Ambulance arrived on scene, then coordinated with family members afterward to relay info.
