
The Boone boys track and field team competed Monday, March 30, at the Bondurant-Farrar Coed Invitational, which was cut short due to lightning following the girls’ 100‑meter hurdles event.
Final scores reflected standings at the time of cancellation, with Boone totaling 71 points—just one point behind Roland‑Story.
Field events
Jude Baumgardner captured first place in the discus with a throw of 152 feet, while Caden Sprecher followed closely with a second‑place finish at 143‑10.
Baumgardner also added a third‑place finish in the shot put at 49‑03, and Slayde Lee placed fifth at 43‑01.5.
Jaydon Clark took fourth in the long jump with a mark of 19‑9.5, and Issac McCloud cleared 5‑04 to place sixth in the high jump.
Running events
On the track, Clark continued his strong night by finishing second in the 400‑meter dash in 53.14.
The shuttle hurdle relay team of McCloud, Brenden Hedrick, Max McLaughlin and Bodie Brogden earned second place in 1:07.23.
Boone also claimed second in the distance medley relay as Ryder Hillsabeck, George Grote, Teddy Johnson and Calvin Cook crossed the line in 3:58.50.
The 4×800‑meter relay finished third, where Ajay Braddock, Maddox McIntyre, Clark and Dorian Myers combined for a time of 8:45.01.
The 4×200‑meter relay of Brogden, McCloud, Gabe Villalva and McIntyre placed third in 1:35.74.
The sprint medley relay team of Hillsabeck, RJ Lennon, Reid McClain and Austin Felder finished sixth.
Bondurant‑Farrar was leading the meet with 78 points, followed by Roland‑Story with 72 and Boone with 71, when it ended.

The boys are scheduled to travel to Ogden for the Ogden Early Bird Co-ed Meet beginning at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2.
