BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Attorney Matt Speers’ office releases summaries of court cases handled by the Boone County Attorney’s office.

COURT SUMMARIES

3-23-25 – 4-3-26

– Jessica Marie Glaspey, 35, Boone, appeared in District Court and stipulated to having violated the terms of her probation. On the violation, the Court found the defendant in Contempt, ordered completion of a Residential Treatment Facility, and that defendant remain in custody pending placement.

– Jaden Richard Fuss, 22, Ames, was sentenced by the District Associate Court following a guilty plea to Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 1 year in jail, with all but 2 days suspended. On the suspended portion, the defendant was placed on probation with terms to include completion of a substance abuse evaluation with follow through of treatment, a batterer’s education course, plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Shane Schmidt, 53, Ames, was sentenced by the District Associate Court following a guilty plea to Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years in prison, with all but 2 days suspended. On the suspended portion, the defendant was placed on probation with terms to include completion of a substance abuse evaluation with follow through of treatment, plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

– Sean Gabriel Shickell, 36, Ames, was sentenced by the District Associate Court following a guilty plea to Disorderly Conduct, a Serious Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 1 year in jail, all suspended. On the suspended portion, the defendant was placed on probation with terms to include completion of a substance abuse evaluation with follow through of treatment, plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

– Charles David Sturtz, 21, Boone, was sentenced by the District Associate Court following a guilty plea to Possession of Controlled Substance 1st, a Serious Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 2 days in jail, completion of a substance abuse evaluation with follow through of treatment, plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

– David Duaine Kelley, 55, Boone, was sentenced by the District Associate Court following a guilty plea to OWI 1st, a Serious Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced 30 days in jail, completion of a substance abuse evaluation with follow through of treatment, a drinking drivers course, plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Grady Lee McNace, 19, Boone, was granted a deferred judgment by the District Associate Court following a guilty plea to Criminal Mischief 3rd, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. On the deferred, the defendant was placed on probation with terms plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Kerry Ann Orr, 49, Madrid, was sentenced by the District Associate Court following guilty pleas to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Mischief 5th, Simple Misdemeanors. The defendant was sentenced to payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Madrid Police Department.

– Cullum Joseph Corpron, 40, Boone, was sentenced by the District Associate Court following a guilty plea to Driving While Barred, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Tiffany Sue McCalley, 53, Ames, was sentenced by the District Associate Court following a guilty plea to Driving While Barred, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 2 days in jail plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Derrick Hannah, 40, Victor TX, appeared in Magistrate Court for a trial on the charge of No Resident Deer Tag, a scheduled violation. Following evidence, the defendant was found guilty and ordered to pay the required fine. The case was investigated by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

– Chelsy Marie Stevens, 36, Boone, Boone, was sentenced by the Magistrate Court following a guilty plea to Public Intoxication, a Simple Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 30 days in jail, all suspended. On the suspended portion the defendant was placed on probation with terms to include completion of a substance abuse evaluation with follow through of treatment plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Jesse James McCollaugh, 30, Boone, was sentenced by the Magistrate Court following a guilty plea to Public Intoxication, a Simple Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 30 days in jail, all suspended. On the suspended portion the defendant was placed on probation with terms to include completion of a substance abuse evaluation with follow through of treatment plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Tatiana Nicole Gilliland, 33, Boone, was sentenced by the Magistrate Court following a guilty plea to Theft 2nd, a Simple Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Erik Jon Murken, 49, Boone, was sentenced by the Magistrate Court following a guilty plea to Public Intoxication, a Simple Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Ronald Eugene Yeager, 62, Ames, was sentenced by the Magistrate Court following a guilty plea to Public Intoxication, a Simple Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.
