
The Boone boys’ golf team opened its season defeating Bondurant‑Farrar, 164‑196, in a dual meet Monday, April 6, at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone.
The Toreadors placed six golfers in the top seven spots and improved to 1‑0 on the young season.
Sophomore Calvin Overton led the way for Boone, earning medalist honors with a round of 38.
Junior Mason Oostenink followed closely with a 40 to place second overall.
Bondurant‑Farrar’s Brendan Greene provided the Bluejays’ top score, finishing third with a 41.
Boone rounded out the scoring with sophomore Jaxon Miover and junior Austin Maach, who each carded a 43, and senior Jack Rose, who finished with a 44.
Sophomore Brody McNace added a 45 to claim seventh place overall.
Bondurant‑Farrar’s remaining golfers, all freshmen, rounded out the field.

Boone will return to Cedar Pointe Golf Course to host a triangular on Thursday, April 9. Interstate 35 and Ogden will join the Toreadors for the 4 p.m. start.
