
The Madrid boys golf team competed Wednesday, April 29, in the Ram Invitational in Jefferson.
Madrid finished ninth overall with a team score of 400 in a competitive 10‑team tournament.
The meet was won by Greene County (308), followed by South Central Calhoun (321) and Grand View Christian (324).
Individually, Madrid was led by Zach Newell, who turned in the team’s low round with a 91.
Eli Petersen followed with a 98, while Emerson Bridgewater carded a 100.
Cory Saxton finished with a 111, Levi Kockler added a 114, and Terrin Lawrensen rounded out the Tiger scores with a 115.

The boys next compete at the West Central Activities Conference meet Tuesday, May 5, at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora.
