The Madrid boys’ golf team competed in the West Central Activities Conference meet on Tuesday, May 5, at Lake Panorama National Golf Course.
Madison finished 11th overall in the team standings with a score of 415.
Des Moines Christian claimed the conference championship with a winning team total of 309.
Individually, the Tigers were led by Zachery Newell, who posted a round of 98 to set the pace for Madrid.
Eli Peterson followed closely with a 101, while Emerson Bridgewater carded a 102.
Additional scores for Madrid included Levi Kockler with a 114, Cory Saxton with a 121, and Terrin Lawrensen shooting 133.

Madrid will be back on the course Friday, May 8, when the Tigers travel to Don Williams Golf Course for a quad meet with Ogden, Coon Rapids‑Bayard and Woodward‑Granger.
