
The Boone girls track team finished sixth at the Raccoon River Conference Meet on Wednesday, May 6, hosted by Adel-DeSoto-Minburn.
Boone finished sixth overall in the team standings with 53 points while ADM won the meet with 177 points.
Individual events
Boone’s best individual finishes came in the throws.
Jennifer LaMar earned a runner‑up finish in the shot put, throwing 38‑11.00 to place second.
Maleah Shivers took third in the shot put with a mark of 38‑2.50.
In the discus, LaMar placed fourth with a throw of 103‑10.
Taylor Arringdale cleared 14‑4.75 in the long jump, finishing seventh.
Arringdale also placed sixth in the 200-meter dash in 28.61 seconds.
Briella Johnson finished sixth in the 400-meter dash, running 1:02.78, and also clocked 2:29.28 in the 800-meter run and finished seventh.
Whitney Chesnut placed seventh in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:19.01.
Relay events
The distance medley relay of Halle Bailey, Arringdale, Avah Hayes and Chesnut finished fourth in 4:38.08.
The sprint medley relay of Abi Leu, Bailey, Tala Wittrock and Mady Davidson crossed the line fifth in 1:58.69.
The 4×800 relay team of Quinn Houston, Bry Morgan, Elin Selby and Johnson finished fifth overall in 11:11.51.
The shuttle hurdle relay of Leu, Hadley Gustafson, McKenzie Klatt and Kyra Darby was fifth in 1:13.74.
Boone placed sixth in the 4×400 relay, running 4:32.63, with Darby, Klatt, Morgan and Davidson.
The 4×100 relay of Leu, Wittrock, Arringdale and Bailey added a seventh‑place finish in 52.7.

The girls will compete at the Nevada Cub Girls Invitational Monday, May 11 at Nevada High School.
