The Ogden softball team came out swinging Monday, June 29, and the Bulldogs held off a late push from Panorama to secure a 13-9 victory in West Central Activities Conference play.
Ogden scored four runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed the rest of the way.
The Bulldogs continued to apply pressure with one run in the second, a five-run surge in the third, two more in the fourth and another insurance run in the fifth.
Panorama answered in stretches — scoring two runs in the first, three in the third and two in the fourth — but the early offensive burst from Ogden proved too much to overcome.
Clara Kruse led the Bulldogs with three hits, including two home runs and a double, drove in three runs and scored twice.
Sophie Seligman also delivered power for Ogden, recording three hits, including a home run.
She added two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base.
Aubrey Leonard scored four runs while adding two hits.
Grace Christensen and Adi Banks each provided two hits apiece — Christensen drove in three runs and scored once, while Banks added two RBIs and a run.
Lauren Mathews chipped in with a hit and a run scored, while Dakota Jones and Sidney Crane each crossed the plate.
Katie Wilcoxson went the distance, earning the complete-game victory and finishing with two strikeouts.
With the win, Ogden improves to 19-14 overall and 9-11 in conference play. Panorama drops to 9-16 overall and 5-13 in the conference.
Ogden will head to Baxter (4-20) for a non-conference matchup tonight.
