The Ogden football team pulled away for a 29-8 victory over Perry in the second half on Friday, August 28, at Perry High School.
The Bulldogs opened the 2026 season with a dominant final two quarters, scoring 16 points in the third quarter and 13 more in the fourth to erase an 8-0 deficit and begin the year with a 1-0 record.
Perry scored the game’s first points with a touchdown and two-point conversion in the second quarter, taking an 8-0 lead into halftime.
Ogden responded after the break, shutting out the Bluejays over the final two quarters.
Quarterback Carson Lloyd led a balanced Ogden offense, completing 21 of 26 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown.
Lloyd also contributed on the ground, carrying nine times for 33 yards.
Jackson Klith also turned four carries into 45 yards and two touchdowns.
Tyler Lass added a short touchdown run of his own, scoring on one of his two carries, while Ryder Eklund added a rushing attempt.
Brayden Miller led all Bulldog receivers with five catches for 65 yards.
Klith added six receptions for 40 yards, while Weston Sundell hauled in five catches for 31 yards.
Lloyd’s lone touchdown pass went to Kobe Current, who finished with three receptions for 19 yards and a score.
Lass added a 12-yard reception, and Zachary Crosman caught one pass for nine yards.
Dillon Moe paced the Bulldogs’ defense, recording 11 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a fumble recovery.
Landon Alexander added 10.5 tackles, while Lass contributed 10 tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack.
Eklund finished with seven tackles, and Current added six stops.
Lass recovered one fumble and Crosman added another recovery.
With the win, Ogden opens the season at 1-0 while Perry falls to 0-1.
The Bulldogs will return home Friday, Sept. 4, to host Eagle Grove, which also enters the matchup with a 1-0 record.
