DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updated information concerning the following severe weather and hydrology concerns. Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected this week. Persistent heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding and eventually river flooding. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon with all hazards possible across central Iowa beginning today and continuing through much of next week.
