BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Police Department is one the agencies formally participating in the DEA’s Drug Take Back Day this Saturday. Residents with out dated or left over prescription drugs or over the counter medications can get those items disposed of safely. Check your medicine cabinet or cupboard and collect what you need to throw out, put in a box or bag and bring it to the Boone Police Department, Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

If the Saturday event doesn’t fit your schedule, remember the Boone Police Department does have a drop bin in the front reception area of the downtown office, available when the office is open. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department has a drop off bin at the Law Enforcement Center.
