ACCESS Assault Care Center Upgrades Phone System, Leads to Some Changes

KWBG 09/11/20

AMES, Iowa—ACCESS Assault Care Center wants to inform survivors and community members of the best way to best reach staff or request services.

ACCESS has upgraded their phone system to one that is more unified. In doing so, some of their previous direct lines will no longer be active starting in October 2020.

The main ACCESS business office can be contacted at 515-292-0500. The business line can be used to request agency information, to address donation needs, to be directed to the correct staff member and for other general inquires.

To reach an advocate, or receive free, confidential services, ACCESS has three 24/7 help lines.

  • Sexual Abuse Help Line: 515-292-5378 or toll free: 1-800-203-3488
  • Domestic Abuse/ Homicide & Violent Crime Help Line: 515-292-0519

or toll free: 1-855-983-4641

  • Housing Help Line: 515-292-0543 or toll free: 1-855-696-2980

ACCESS provides services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence as well as homicide and other violent crimes. Spreading ACCESS contact information helps to ensure that community members and survivors know how to reach advocates and receive services. ACCESS asks that you share their business and help lines in hopes of reaching as many people as possible.

Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 1429 Ames, IA 50014 or made online at http://www.assaultcarecenter.org/en/donate/.
