BCH Board Members Completes IHA Board Certification

KWBG 04/19/23

BOONE, Iowa—Lisa Kobernusz, Boone County Hospital (BCH) Board of Trustees, has met all the requirements for the Iowa Hospital Association’s (IHA) Board Certification Program. This certification demonstrates to employers and stakeholders in our community, law makers and hospital employees, Lisa’s commitment to ongoing learning and good governance practice. Sixteen Iowa hospital boards were honored at the 2023 IHA Governance Forum in mid-April in Des Moines.

IHA’s Hospital Trustee and Board Certification is a voluntary program recognizing trustees who have completed 12 hours of healthcare-specific education over two years and confirm that, individually and collectively, their board is following governance best practices. Hospitals and health systems also are recognized as one-, two- or three-star boards, depending on the percentage of board members certified.
