BOONE, Iowa—The first baby of 2026 born at Boone County Hospital is Lola Moon Dowell. She arrived weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long. Proud parents Zoe Williams and Diego Dowell welcomed their beautiful daughter at the Family Birth Center.
To celebrate, the Family Birth Center staff gifted the family a basket filled with goodies for baby Lola and her Mom. The basket included essentials such as diapers, wipes, a baby bathtub, books, storage bins, burp cloths, swaddles, a blanket, pacifiers, and other baby items. For the new mom, the basket featured chocolate, gift cards, and additional thoughtful treats.
