BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Hospital’s Senior Life Solutions Program is expanding to reach more community members in Boone County and surrounding areas. Senior Life Solutions is an intensive outpatient group therapy program designed to meet the unique needs of individuals typically 65 and older experiencing depression or anxiety related to life changes that are often associated with aging. The program opened in 2022 at Boone County Hospital and will begin offering its expanded services on January 5, 2026.
Program staff may include a board-certified psychiatrist, a nurse practitioner, a licensed therapist, a registered nurse, and other trained professionals dedicated to helping older adults in our community navigate difficult life transitions and regain their quality of life. Services offered by Senior Life Solutions include a confidential, comprehensive assessment, group, and individual therapy, family therapy, medication education and management, and after-care planning, where we continue to engage and support our participants. Even though this is a group setting, we address each person individually based on their unique needs.
“I’m excited to expand our program,” says Brittany Gus, Program Director. “There is no better feeling than knowing you can help those in need when they need it.”
Boone County Hospital’s Senior Life Solutions is committed to providing excellent care to the older adults in the community and is looking forward to serving more with their expanded services. Referrals to the program can be made by anyone, including a patient’s physician, family member, self-referral, or another healthcare professional.
