Beverly Swore

KWBG 07/16/24

BOONE, Iowa—Beverly Swore, age 77, passed away in her sleep on July 14, 2024. Beverly had a rich and full life, and leaves behind a legacy of love through her ever-growing family who will forever cherish their memories together.

She was born in Clovis, New Mexico, grew up in Southern California and lived in Las Vegas, NV, but her real home was always Boone, IA. She loved the community and chose it as the place to raise her three daughters; Tina Milburn (George), Teri Hermann and Tami Baker (Robert).

Bev also met and married the love of her life, Jerry in Boone. Jerry was lucky to have had her by his side for 41 years and will tell you that she was the best thing to ever happen to him.

Bev was proudest of her grandchildren (Chantalle Noelck, Kelsie Wills, Haley Gavin, Caden
Hermann, Rachel Witkop, Ella Baker and Rowan Baker) and spoke of them with anyone who would listen. She also had many great grandchildren and loved spending time with them all. Family was the most important thing to Bev and she traveled great lengths to be with them.

Bev had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her plants and backyard garden. She was also a lifelong animal lover, never able to turn away an animal in need. She will perhaps be missed most by her beloved dogs and “stray” cat, who were by her side when she passed away.

Bev was predeceased by her parents and two siblings and took great joy in recently reconnecting with her surviving brother, Lee. She also had a sister in her lifelong friend Jan.

Bev never met a stranger; her warm smile, kind heart, and easy nature helped her make friends everywhere she went. The list of people who will miss her is likely longer than anyone even knows.

The family will greet friends from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Grace
Community Church, 625 South Division Street, in Boone. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given to the Boone Humane Society, 228 West 16th Street, Boone, IA 50036, www.bahs.us/donate

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. Online condolences may be left to Bev’s family at
