
The Boone Toreadors boys’ wreslting team crowned three conference champions and finished second in the team standings at the Raccoon River Conference Wrestling Championships on Saturday, January 31, in Huxley.
Boone had three individual conference champions — Easton Landas (106), Ajay Braddock (132), and Brody Warrick (165) — while seven wrestlers placed in the top five.
Bondurant‑Farrar won the team title with 235.5 points, and Boone was runner‑up with 170 points.
Landas (23‑3) dominated his bracket to claim the 106‑lb conference championship.
After a first‑round bye, Landas pinned Rylan Runyan (Carlisle) in 1:55, then secured the title with a 3:40 fall over Spencer Dare (Bondurant‑Farrar).
Braddock (28‑2) claimed Boone’s second individual title.
After a first‑round pin and a tech fall in the semifinals, Braddock battled Easton Enyeart (Ballard) in a championship match that went all the way to the ultimate tiebreaker.
Braddock prevailed 4‑2.
Warrick (25‑4) claimed the 165‑lb title with three tech falls—all by 16‑1 or greater and all in under four minutes and never allowed a takedown.
Owen Thomas at 150 (23‑12) advanced to the finals with an 11‑4 decision and an 11‑3 major decision, finishing runner‑up and earning 17 points.
Thomas fell in the championship to Ethan Johnson (ADM) by tech fall.
Trent Eckard at 175 (24‑11) pinned two opponents to reach the finals with a semifinal fall over Chase Rial (Bondurant‑Farrar) in 5:21.
Tate Hollenkamp at 144 (20‑10) finished 3rd.
He opened with an 18‑3 tech fall, later bouncied back with an 8‑1 win in the consolation semifinal, and pinned Michael Rowedder (Carroll) in 1:18 for third place.
Hayden Nerem at 215 (13‑17) claimed 4th place.
He earned two pins — one in the quarterfinals (4:30) and one in the consolation semifinals (1:45) — before falling in the 3rd‑place match.
Aiden Harris at 113 (18‑11) placed 5th.
Harris pinned Cade Steinfeldt (ADM) twice — once in the quarterfinal (1:32) and again in the 5th‑place match in just 18 seconds.
Mason Oostenink at 120 (17‑14) also earned 5th place.
He opened the meet with a 17‑1 tech fall before earning a 1:19 pin over Braxton Hummel (Carlisle).
Issac McCloud at 126 (10‑20) went 1‑3 on the day, earning a consolation fall in 5:12 over Owen Davidson (Ballard).
McCloud finished 6th.
Macon Robinson at 190 (8‑17) started with a loss but responded with a 15‑6 major decision.
His tournament ended due to a pair of medical forfeits.
Anthony Heenan at 138 (10‑18) was eliminated after two matches, both by fall.
Ashten Peterson at 157 (4‑15) dropped both of his matches and did not place.
Vincent Stevens at heavyweight (3‑19) wrestled twice, both ending in falls, and did not place.

The Toreadors will compete at the regional dual wrestling tournament tonight at Southeast Polk High School.
No. 23 seed Boone will wrestle No. 24 seed Council Bluffs Lewis Central at 6 and the winner will wrestle No. 1 seed Southeast Polk at about 7:30 p.m.
The evening’s winner will advance to the State Dual Team Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, February 7, at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
