
The Boone boys’ basketball team fell short Tuesday, February 3, dropping a 50–45 Raccoon River Conference matchup to Winterset at Boone High School.
Landon Myers scored 21 points on 7‑for‑11 shooting, while knocking down 7‑of‑8 free throws.
Myers controlled the glass with a game‑high 11 rebounds, including two offensive boards, and added a block and a steal.
Jude Baumgardner finished with 12 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and three assists.
He connected on 2‑of‑6 three-pointers.
Hendrix Moorman gave Boone another 10 points, including two made threes and a pair of free throws.
He added two rebounds and an offensive board.
Cole Christeson dished out three assists with just one turnover.
The Toreadors fell to 3–14 overall and 0–13 in conference play.
Winterset is now 10–9 overall, and 5–9 in the conference.
Boone returns home tonight for a Raccoon River Conference matchup against Carlisle (7–10, 4–9) at 7:30 p.m.
It will be Senior Night for the dance team and pep band, with a special dance team performance at halftime of the boys’ game.
