The Boone boys distance medley relay team of Luis Maldonado, Jordan McCloud, Maddox McIntyre, and Dorian Myers finished 20th in Class 3A with a time of 3:39.50 Friday, May 23, at the Iowa High School State Track & Field Championships at Drake Stadium.
In the 4×200-meter relay, Boone’s team of Lucas Boucher, Noah Davies, Maddox McIntyre, and Lucas Moore placed 19th with a time of 1:32.13.
In the field events, Jude Baumgardner represented Boone in the 3A shot put, finishing 20th with a throw of 48 feet, 2.5 inches.
The state meet concludes Saturday, May 24, with finals in all classes.
