The Boone Toreadors boys’ basketball team hit the road for a non‑conference matchup, but Nevada claimed a 57-41 victory Monday, February 16, at Nevada High School.
Jude Baumgardner led Boone with 9 points and hauled in a team‑high 10 rebounds, including three offensive boards, and added an assist.
Landon Myers supplied 8 points on a 3-of-6 shooting night, including 1-of-2 on three-pointers, while also contributing 7 rebounds, 1 offensive board and 2 blocks.
Braxton Gifford added 8 points on 3-of-5 shooting and knocked down two threes and added an assist.
Cole Christeson had 5 rebounds and 3 assists while Hendrix Moorman and Brandon Holm added 1 assist each.
Nevada improves to 19–3 overall and Boone drops to 4–17 overall.
Boone now turns toward its final contest before postseason play, traveling to face Webster City (2–18) on Thursday, February 19 at 7 p.m.
