
The Boone Toreadors’ boys basketball team fought hard Tuesday, January 13, but came up short in a 56–47 loss to North Polk in a Raccoon River Conference matchup at Boone High School.
Landon Myers led the way for Boone with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting and hitting 3-of-4 free throws.
Myers also controlled the glass with 17 rebounds, including 4 offensive boards, and added 2 blocks.
Cole Christeson had 11 points, knocking down two three-pointers and going 4-of-6 from the field, while adding 2 assists.
Brandon Holm chipped in 7 points, including a three-pointer, and grabbed 5 rebounds with 2 offensive boards.
Abel Tungesvik contributed 3 rebounds and 2 steals, while Hendrix Moorman led the team in assists with 5.
The Toreadors now sit at 3–8 overall and 0–8 in conference play, while North Polk improves to 6–6 overall and 3–5 in the league.
Boone will look to bounce back Friday when it travels to Denison-Schleswig (2-10) for a non-conference matchup.
